Sea Life Park
Mural Painting Project

Have you been to Sea Life Park recently?  Big changes are happening, and our Oahu troops were invited to be part of it. They had the opportunity to beautify the partitions separating the construction site with a mural of their own design.  The participating troops got to see their piece of the project through from sketch to painting, and even get to attend the unveiling of the new attraction once completed!

Troop Spotlight:
Troop 770

We recently asked our troop leaders to complete a Take Action Survey, so we could gather examples of all of the amazing service our troops are providing.  We’ve received some great responses, and here’s just one amazing example.  Enjoy, and keep the responses coming!
“I am the Assistant Troop Leader for Troop 770 on Maui.  I just finished taking the Taking Action survey.  It noted that we should send you photos and description of our service projects.

October 18, 2014
We volunteered at the Maui Humane Society.  The girls helped to stuff envelopes for a donation campaign they were working on.

November 9, 2014
We volunteered to clean up the pumpkin patch at Kula Elementary School.

November 21, 2014
We volunteered at Hope Chapel.  The girls helped pack Operation Christmas Child boxes.  These boxes go all over the world to less fortunate children.

December 20, 2014
The Troop along with Brownie Troop 772 went Christmas Caroling at Hale Mahaolu in Makawao.  They also passed out homemade ornaments that they made at one of our meetings.

January 24, 2015
We volunteered at Trucker's Keiki Fun Day at Grace Bible Church.  The girls ran the coloring station.  All of the colored pictures were then sent to Trucker who was in the hospital.

We have done a lot more service projects this year.  The girls love to volunteer their time to help others.”

Aloha Patch Program

Would you like your family and friends on the mainland to learn more about your beautiful state of Hawai’i? Suggest the Aloha Patch program to do with their GS troops!

As girls earn the Aloha Patch, they will learn the Hawaiian Language, play games, make a lei, try different recipes, investigate water and endangered species, sing Hawaiian songs, make volcanos, and more!

If you are interested in the Aloha Patch Program, you can purchase the program here. The patch is sold separately.
