Volunteer of Excellence:
Purpose:
To recognize a
volunteer who has contributed outstanding service to girls and adult members of
GSH in support of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and the mission to develop
girls of courage, confidence and character for at least 1 membership year.
In
order to be considered for this award, the candidate must meet all of the
following criteria:
Appreciation Pin:
Purpose: This award acknowledges the
efforts of a volunteer who has provided continuous outstanding service in a
Service Unit Leadership position for at least 2 membership years.
In order to be considered for this award, the candidate must
meet all of the following criteria:
- The candidate is an active, registered volunteer member of Girl Scouts of Hawaii for a minimum of two membership years.
- The candidate must have an approved volunteer application and background check on file.
- The candidate has served in one or more Service Unit leadership positions for a minimum of 2 membership years.
- The nominee has provided assistance in a leadership role in one or more Service Units over the two years.
- The nominee's service goes above and beyond the expectations the position held and contributes to the Girl Scout Mission.
- The candidate actively recognizes, understands, and practices the values of inclusive behavior.
Honor Pin:
Purpose: This award acknowledges the
efforts of a volunteer who has provided continuous outstanding service to two
or more GSH Service Units in a Leadership position for at least 2
membership.
In order to be
considered for this award, the candidate must meet all of the following
criteria:
- The candidate is an active, registered volunteer member of Girl Scouts of Hawaii for a minimum of two membership years.
- The candidate must have an approved volunteer application and background check on file.
- The candidate has served in one or more Service Unit leadership positions for a minimum of 2 membership years.
- The nominee has provided assistance in a leadership role in two (2) or more Service Units over the two years.
- The nominee's service goes above and beyond the expectations the position held and contributes to the Girl Scout Mission.
- The candidate actively recognizes, understands, and practices the values of inclusive behavior.
Nominations will be accepted up to Wednesday, April 20, 2016. All
nominations will go through committee review, and those selected will be
recognized by Monday, May 30, 2016.
